This creamy, rich and indulgent Honey Oatmilk Latte is the perfect pick me up. Strong espresso mixed with a creamy, frothy oatmilk and sweetened with a drizzle of honey and cinnamon spice. It’s my favorite way to enjoy my morning brew!
In a medium/large sized mug, add 1 tablespoon of honey with about ¼ teaspoon cinnamon.
Froth your milk. You can do this in a milk frother, over the stove, or in a mason jar. (See notes for instructions on each method.)
Add your warm, frothed milk to the mug with the honey and cinnamon.
Pour the double shot of espresso into the milk and honey mixture.
Drizzle with the remaining tablespoon of honey and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon.
Enjoy! (And smile smugly to yourself as you realize you didn't just drop 8 dollars for a grande latte at Starbucks!)
Notes
How To Froth Milk: You have three options here:
Use a milk frother. This is the easiest way to froth milk in my opinion.
Froth your milk over the stove. Also a super easy method, it just takes a bit longer. Place your milk into a small-sized pot and heat over low heat. Using a handheld whisk, whisk the milk as it heats and continue stirring until the temperature reaches about 125 degrees F, and the mixture starts to look light and foamy.
In a jar. This is a new concept to me, but you can actually make frothed milk by heating it in the microwave, adding it to a mason jar, pop a lid on it, and shake until it reaches the foamy consistency you’re after. Voila!
Make it vegan. Just be sure to use a plant-based milk and substitute the honey for maple syrup or agave syrup.
Make it iced. Make an iced oatmilk honey latte by just chilling your espresso shot, add it to a glass with some ice, and top it with refrigerated oatmilk, a swirl of honey and a dash of cinnamon.
