This Easy 7 Layer Greek Dip is made with a base of hummus and greek yogurt and topped with cucumbers, olives, tomato, and feta, and is served with warm pita bread. It's a classic Mediterranean dip that's perfect for your next party or potluck!
First, make the yogurt dip. Combine the yogurt, feta cheese, and lemon juice in a food processor or high speed blender and pulse until everything is combined and the consistency is smooth and creamy. Add the lemon zest, parsley, mint, scallions, coriander, salt and pepper and pulse 6-8 times more to ensure everything is well mixed.
Assemble The Greek Layer Dip
Assemble the layered greek dip by spreading the yogurt mixture evenly onto a small serving tray.
Stir the hummus well to loosen it up a bit and make it easier to spread. Add spoonfuls of the hummus in dots across the yogurt base, then carefully spread the hummus across the top of the yogurt dip in an even layer.
Add the chopped cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, crumbled feta cheese and slice scallions in layers on top of the hummus. Drizzle a tiny bit of olive oil across the top of the dip.
Serve with toasted pita bread rounds, cut into 8ths, pita chips, tortilla chips, crackers, or additional veggies.
Notes
Stir the hummus well before adding it on top of the yogurt dips, and add it in dollops across the plate to make it easier.
Let the greek yogurt dip set in the fridge for a little bit to make it a bit thicker. It will spread less when you add the hummus. If it seems thin, spread it on top of the hummus vs. the other way around.
Make it ahead of time: Make the greek yogurt dip ahead of time and chop all your veggies and store them separately. Everything will be ready to go when you’re ready to assemble the layers.
How to store: To store this 7 layer greek dip, cover your serving dish with a lid, or wrap your serving platter with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
