Unsalted Butter Granulated Sugar Brown Sugar Egg Vanilla Extract Flour Cream Of Tartar Baking Soda Salt Cinnamon Ground Nutmeg

Cream and mix. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar with an electric mixer. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.
Mix the dry ingredients. Add the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg to a small bowl and mix to combine.
Make the dough. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Press and sprinkle. Place the dough into the prepared pan and press firmly and evenly into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture over the top of the bars.
Bake & Cool. Bake the bars until the centers are just set, about 20-23 minutes. Allow the bars to cool for 110 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into bars and serve!
